The ebook reader we use is called Ebook Pro. It is easy to use and install - the ebook reader is part of the book, so there is just one download. Here is what you need to know about these ebooks before you buy.
EBOOK SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
Ebook Pro currently works on WINDOWS and MACINTOSH ONLY. It does NOT work on operating systems with:
- LINUX
- UNIX
- Asian XP (Japanese, Chinese, Russian, etc.) with International Character Sets.
If you use one of these other operating systems, you can still
- Download the book and print it on a friend's personal computer, at the local library, or a cyber cafe, or
- You can buy the paperback.
ABOUT PRINTING THE EBOOK:
You CAN print this ebook! Some people tell me I am crazy to allow this. But I know it can take months for a paperback to arrive in the mail in some parts of the world. And some Mac/Unix/ etc. folks don't want to buy the paperback.
The ebook will print in full living color, unlike the paperbacks which are black and white! If you have a very cheap printer without a setting called "scale to fit page" or "reduce to fit," you may need to print LANDSCAPE to make it fit. But look at your printer menus first (Page Setup or Printer Setup) - almost all printers have this setting. Even my cheap $50 travel printer, an HP Deskjet 3940, has this setting.
When printing entire ebooks, the chapters may not be printed in the proper order. The ebook manufacturer says there is no workaround at this time other than to manually put the pages in the correct order after the printout is finished.
